Qld: Man critical after shooting

BRISBANE, Aug 28 AAP - A man is in a critical condition after being shot in north Queensland.

The 27-year-old was shot in the chest at an address at Charles Street, in the Townsville
suburb of Aitkenvale, early today, police said.

Police have shut down the street and are interviewing witnesses.

A police spokesman said it was believed the man was shot once.
