Voters in several municipalities were likely to use a new voting machine, made in Rochester, according to an 1899 story.

United Typewriter and Supplies Co. of Albany in 1900 advertised ``The New Century Typewriter,'' saying the businessman must decide ``whether or not he will bring the splendid resources of the new century to his aid.''

Albanians were invited to view a demonstration of the ``XXth Century Ice Cream Freezer'' on July 24, 1900, and to sample ice cream that ``freezes up solid as a brick.''
