QLD:Work to secure water supplies

Work is underway in southeast Queensland to maintain water supplies .. with Premier
ANNA BLIGH saying some treatment plants in Brisbane may be out of action due to the floods.

Ms BLIGH says efforts are underway to gear up the Gold Coast desalination plant ..

so it can operate at full supply should any water treatment plant in Brisbane suffer because
of the floods.

Meanwhile .. emergency crews are looking at how to secure three large objects on the
